2024 - 2025 Openings:

  • True Light Christian School is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Custodian.

    Responsibilities will include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and trash removal of classrooms, offices, cafeterias, computer labs, break rooms, bathrooms, hallways, entryways, gymnasiums, weight room, and other areas of the facility including exterior grounds. The Custodian will guide students and staff in the care and use of the facility, and provide set up, tear down, and cleaning after activities.

    The Custodian will respond to requests, last-minute needs, unscheduled events, changes, etc. regarding building use. Move and set up furniture and equipment as requested.

    The Custodian will monitor and inspect the building facility for safety and cleanliness. Maintain and make minor repairs to the facility and troubleshoot and report areas requiring maintenance to the Principal.

    Skills, knowledge, & abilities:

    1. Interpersonal relations skills

    2. Customer service skills

    3. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

    4. Ability to work with and be a part of a team

    5. Ability to work independently

    6. Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning products

    7. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator

    8. Operating knowledge of all major custodial equipment

    9. Ability to perform minor equipment and building repairs

    Wage: DOQ

    (Hourly between $18 - $22/hr)

    Hours: 1 pm - 7 pm (M-F)

    • Approx. 200 days/year

    • Summer mostly off
